Iodine Deficiency - Affects your Thyroid and your Breasts

by Dee

If you are on the Bountiful Breast program you are instructed to take your temperature in the a.m. before rising and if it is not 97.6 - 97.8 you should take 150 mcg of Kelp, because low temperature affects your thyroid, which is how the BB pills work. Kelp is a course of iodine. I did as they instructed and in fact was taking 300 mcg. of Kelp and my temperature readings are still low.

A LOT OF WOMEN ARE IODINE DEFICIENT AND DON'T EVEN KNOW IT! My thyroid level on a blood test was normal, but the best clinicians know that you don't just rely on the blood test, but you also take the patient's symptoms into consideration.

Women are more iodine deficient than man. WHY ..... because a women's thyroid is larger than a man's and we have BREASTS!!!
Breasts need iodine!

Iodine for breasts is so important that it can cure fibrocystic breast disease in most women. See the following website for some important information on iodine and your thyroid and iodine and your breasts. There is also a written test that you can do to see if you may have problems with your thyroid.

The site is: http://www.1-thyroid.com/index.htm

Don't forget to read the Section on Fibrocystic Breast Disease, which explains about iodine deficiency.

If you don't know if you have an iodine deficiency and you want to find out, there is a simple home test that you can do yourself. If the iodine patch test shows that you may be deficient and the thyroid self-test shows that you may have problems with your thyroid, take these results to your doctor or other clinician and have them work with you to raise your iodine levels.

See the attached website which details how to do the Iodine Patch Test:

For information on Iodoral (iodine/iodide supplements) see their website, which contains information on iodine deficiency and supplementation. The same info was contained inside my bottle of Iodoral.
